A variation on the Negroni, the details of the Bunueloni as conceived by its inventor, Luis Bunuel, have remained somewhat mysterious. The term "Carpano" was open to various interpretations, but it was not until recently that we were able to confirm it refers to what is now sold as Carpano Classico, Carpano's original sweet vermouth.
The recipe seems odd, seemingly with two sweet vermouths - and it is - it's simply important to use two different ones to achieve the original. Of course, if you don't have the exact ingredients you should go ahead and use what you have.
